Was anxious to try the brittle product based on quality and taste of past pecan products.
Unfortunately, the brittle product quality is not in same league with the pecan products.
Ordered the brittle in a tin. When we opened the tin the brittle was crushed like it had been in a crushing machine. Few pieces about the size of a quarter but mostly crushed, needed a spoon to scoop it out.
Due to quality I emailed Mascot about returning for credit. I was contacted by a nice lady, Pam McCord. She was apologetic about quality and and offered to refund or ship another tin at no charge. I chose to get another tin, we really wanted to try the brittle. She said we did not need to return the first tin.
I did ask if the brittle product is made and packaged at their pecan facility or by an outside party, she said they make and package the brittle on site.
We did try the brittle that was already here, very tasty., but mostly eating with spoon.
The second tin arrived AND quality was the same, all crushed up.
We will continue to purchase the pecan products but have learned our lesson with the brittle, will purchase nevermore.
The Mascot pecan products are great and their customer service went above and beyond based on todays ideas of customer service .
